Privacy policy
Last updated 4 November 2026
Zylcut is a desktop video editor. Your footage, projects and exports stay on your own computer. This page explains the little we do collect when you create an account on zylcut.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google. We use them to sign you in and to tell you about your account.
- Your trial dates, so we know when your free trial ends.
- Sign-in records: when you signed in, your IP address and your browser's user agent. We keep these to protect your account and to stop abuse, such as someone requesting thousands of sign-in codes.
What we do not collect
We never receive your footage, your projects, your transcripts or your exports. Zylcut processes them on your computer. The website has no advertising and no third-party tracking.
Update checks
The app checks download.zylcut.com for a new version when it starts and every few hours. The check is a plain request for a small file listing the latest version: it carries your app version and your computer's IP address, as any web request does, and nothing about your account or projects. Cloudflare keeps standard request logs for it. You can turn automatic checks off in the app's Settings.
Who handles your data
- Cloudflare hosts the website and its database.
- Resend delivers the sign-in code emails.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that sign-in requests come from a person.
We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.
Cookies
We set one cookie to keep you signed in. It is needed for the account pages to work, and it is not used for tracking.
Your choices
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. That removes your email, name, trial and sign-in records from our database. To ask about your data, email hello@zylcut.com.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and, for big changes, email you.
